No, an SOA is not required prior to obtaining a list of medications. However, an SOA is needed prior to discussing specific Medicare health plans and/or taking an enrollment.

If the appointment date changes, then a new SOA is not required so long as the form has been completed and signed by the beneficiary prior to enrollment.

The electronic SOA is generic. However, the Lead Advantage Pro platform also includes carrier-specific pdf versions as well.

The current SOA form does not include Hospital Indemnity. However, a 2020 update is anticipated which will expand the product types.

The applicant’s electronic signature serves as the unique identifier.

In order to maintain compliance, you would need to ask that the beneficiary first register at myMedicare.gov. Then, since it’s their health information, they can choose to give their agent authorization to receive said information.

AICOE is the web enrollment form that appears when consumers enroll for MA or PDP plans through the carrier website. Through Lead Advantage Pro®, agents email the enrollment link to the applicant. When the applicant clicks on the link, they will be required to confirm date of birth and ZIP code. Once confirmed, they will be directed to complete the partially pre-populated enrollment form. Once completed, applicants will receive an automatic email with Summary of Benefits, Star Ratings and any other documents required by CMS and/or the carrier.

If AICOE is approved by the carrier and the agent is quoting from a lead (not from quick quotes without minimum required applicant details), then the button will be displayed and available.
